    • When you install the nitrous kit, have the computer dyno tuned for it. FWIW, nitrous is generally a little easier on pistons since it introduces a cooling effect to the intake charge. We have had club members run nitrous on cast LT1 and LS1 pistons in motors with over 100k miles and not have a problem.

It was a daily driver that logged about 40k miles and when the engine was rebuilt the pistons were in perfect shape but they still got replaced with some new dss forged pistons.
